* The definition of murder will be “the unwarranted taking of an innocent life.” If a person has a right to live and a person attempts to take their life, the person attempting to take their life has given up his/her right to live. Therefore, the innocent person has the right to use the level of force (up to deadly force) required to preserve their life.
