1. ; Competitors – Who are they? How strong are they? Do they have any weaknesses you may exploit (your competitors’ weaknesses may be an opportunity for your company)? Do they pose any special threats you must guard against?

2. ; Government – Are there any special laws or regulations that affect current or future operations? Does the government offer any opportunity to expand your market?

3. ; Socio-Economic – Look at the demographics of your market? Look at the economy? Are there social factors that may affect your operations?

4. ; Technological – What technological capabilities or advancements are available or forth coming? How are/will they affect your operation?

5. ; Suppliers – Are the raw materials you need easily attainable? Where do you get them and at what cost?
