You will be required to complete two parts for this assignment within one Word document. Please be sure to complete both parts before submitting your assignment.

Part A

Using your thoughts from earlier in the course and your elevator speech ideas, create a sentence outline for a 10-minute presentation about a discipline-related topic in which you propose a small project or professional action to an audience of midlevel executives.

The outline should indicate the flow and content for your anticipated presentation.

Incorporate an introduction of yourself, and link your background, experience, goals, and education to the topic. Imagine that the audience has not met you or that they do not know you very well. Assume that your own strengths and abilities, including your university studies, will be key and important to the success of your proposal for the project. Be sure the outline reflects solid organization and process.

In Unit 4, you will give a final presentation based on this outline, so be sure to provide enough information for future use. Therefore, use a sentence outline format rather than simply jotting down one- or two-word topics.

Part B

In a brief summary of 2–3 paragraphs, research at least 2 online social networking outlets with good points and drawbacks that may be associated with each one. Do not use sites that are wholly dedicated to job searching such as ;this Web site, but look for sites such as ;this Web site ;that offer socialization opportunities, group membership opportunities, and self-presentation opportunities. Briefly discuss how you might use one of these sites to leverage your key strengths and present them. Explain how you might direct key people toward your site.
