Packaging of Investigative Materials

When packaging or shelving evidence, investigators and evidence custodians should always wear latex gloves. This is particularly important for investigators who handle chemical or drug evidence.

1. Discuss why latex gloves should be worn by investigators and others when handling evidence.
2. Explain the chain of custody of evidence.
