Juvenile Justice question

;Siegel and Welsh (2012) noted that the reformers of the Illinois Juvenile Court Act “…were genuinely motivated to pass legislation that would serve the best interests of the child” (480).

For this week’s class discussion, please respond to the following:

• What is your local community doing to help prevent juvenile delinquency?
• Offer your opinion on whether or not you believe that your community has effective programs in place to address juvenile delinquency, and whether or not officials have adequate strategies to reduce future juvenile delinquency. Explain your reasoning.
• In what ways can you become active in your community to support these programs?
