Discussion: The WTO and the economic recovery

• From the e-Activity, examine how the increase in exporting and importing will affect a country’s culture. Determine how the involvement of international organizations, like the World Trade Organization, will have an effect on the culture of individual countries. Predict whether the merging of cultures will increase or decrease the product offerings.
• From the e-Activity, examine the pros and cons of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and its ability to negotiate against protectionism. Examine the practice of countries limiting the importing of products to their country in order to preserve its heritage. Determine what alternative markets might be a better choice for market entry as opposed to countries that limit the importing of products to preserve their heritage.
